About Us
Leonard Automatics was founded in 1969 by Len Frushtick in Charlotte North Carolina. Len had been a founding partner in three companies in New York that specialized in manufacturing and supplying products and services to the garment manufacturing industry prior to starting Leonard Automatics.
Leonard Automatics has always been a family company; Jeff Frushtick (company President and CEO) started working with his father in 1972 helping install equipment during his summers off from school, as well as rebuilding equipment after school and on weekends. Jeff joined his father Len after graduating from college and working several years with Union Oil Company’s Chemical Sales Division.
Together Len and Jeff began designing and manufacturing finishing equipment in 1983 in their facility in Denver North Carolina. Together they created many new designs and innovations, receiving multiple patents for pressing equipment and tunnel finishing.
Over the years Leonard Automatics developed the reputation for high quality standards, an obsessive dedication to customer support, and an innovative approach to garment finishing creating the most productive and reliable finishing equipment.
